Dantis is an artist who began experimenting with different musical styles from the tender age of 16, playing rock, funk, metal and other musical varieties, and becoming a member of a number of different groups.

Four years would pass before he would finally sign his first contract with a record company as a solo artist, and at the age of 20 he released the maxi singles "Turn on" and "Belly Dance".

At the same time, he sang live at "TABOO" with Dimitra Galani and George Xatzinasios.

During the following three years, Dantis continued singing live, gaining more and more experience. At the same time he participated in 10 Dekaria ?? . 2 with two of his songs, he sang a duet with Polina on her album "Push Ups", and finally in 1990, he released his first album called "Daktilika Apotipomata".   The music and the lyrics of the album were written by Giannis Karalis, and the album went on to become huge success.

The following year, Dantis released his second album "Aman", which became an immediate success.   The track of the album with the same name, "Aman", was such a huge success that it was distributed as a remix to 4 European countries, and the video clip was played on both MCM and MTV, along with extracts from his live shows, a tribute to the artist himself, and an interview by Steve Blame, who was at the time a presenter for MTV.  

Dantis first experimentations with Greek folk music led him to the creation of the album "Ala" in 1993.   The following year he returned to his much-loved pop and rock influences, giving rise to his fourth studio album, simply named "4".   The album became a huge success, and the track "Kapoios s'agapaei" from the album offered Dantis more airtime on MTV.  

A collection of new, altered versions of older successful hits along with 4 new songs gave rise to his following studio album titled "Tama" in 1995 which also went on to become hugely successful.   In 1996 Dantis recorded the album "Foni Voontos", and in 1997 the album "Giousoufakia".

The successful collaboration of Dantis with Kostas Tournas on stage in 1998 gave rise to the live recording of a double album with the name "Krifo Sxolio", also known as "Tournas-Dantis Live".

Dantis following album required eleven months of preparation in the studio until in 1999, his album "To Palio Mou Palto" was released.   It was an instant success, containing collaborations with several of the most influential artists of the Greek music scene, and offering Dantis the most important come-back of his career.

Several months later, Dantis re-worked Adriano Celentano's "24.000 Baci" for the film "Safe Sex" created by Reppas and Papathanasiou.   The song was included in the soundtrack of the movie, and with the combination of the success of the movie, the soundtrack literally sky-rocketed, even from its first days of release.

By 2001, Dantis released the album "To Domatio", reaching platinum sales, and his songs "To domatio", "Dos'mou fotia" along with his duet with Notis Sfakianakis "Heimonas einai" rendered the album as an instant hit.

By May of 2003, Dantis returned with another extremely successful album, named "Ena Tragoudi Akoma", and released by Sony Music.   In this album Dantis teamed up with Giorgos Theofanous, who had already reached notoriety by composing several modern-time classic hits.

In 2004 Dantis was one of the judges for the Greek version of Fame Story.

In May of the same year, Dantis was prepared to reach new levels of success, and released the album "Maya Maya".   Apart from his own music and lyrics, prominent musicians and lyricists like Vaggelis Konstantinidis, Vasilis Giannopoulos, Sophie Pappa, Natalia Germanou, Christoforos Germenis, Konstantinos Pantzis, Giannis Liontos and Antonis Skokos collaborated for the creation of this gold album.

During the winter of 2004 and 2005, Dantis appeared live at the Fix with Christos Pazis.

In March of 2005, the song in which Dantis wrote the music and the lyrics with the collaboration of Natalia Germanou, entitled "My Number One" and sung by Helena Paparizou, is chosen to represent Greece, and reaches the No.1 position, in the Eurovision Song Contest on the 21 st of May (Kiev,2005).   Greece enters first place in this contest for the very first time.   Helena Paparizou and the song Dantis wrote are officially Number One.

Dantis, being as he is a multi-talented artist, decides to write a record for Keti Garbi, entitled "Echo Sta Matia Ourano".   From the first days of its release, the tracks that stood out were "Akouse Agori Mou", "To narkotiko Mou", "Echo Sta Matia Ourano", as well as the duet between Keti Garbi and Dantis "Spaciba Baby".   In June of the same year, he writes the music for the first single by Flora Theodorou entitled "Giatre mou!!!".   The CD-Single includes three songs where Dantis wrote the music, and Vassilis Giannopoulos and Natalia Germanou wrote the lyrics.

Dantis collaborates with the Greek Satellite platform NOVA, and writes the song "Ola Super", with lyrics by Vaggelis Konstantinidis, which will constitute the musical jingle played on all 9 sports channels broadcasted by NOVA.

In September of 2005, and for a small number of appearances, Dantis sings in Thessaloniki with Keti Garbi.

After the victory of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, Dantis returned to what he loved doing best, his solo projects.   He released the extremely successful album "Kata Vathos" in November of 2005, with lyrics written by Natalia Germanou, Vaggelis Konstantinidis, and Vasilis Giannopoulos.  

The winter of 2005-2006 is marked by the extremely successful collaboration of Dantis with Nikos Kourkoulis at GKAZI.

Dantis brand-new album entitled "Min Peis Pote" was released in December of 2006.   The album is a multifaceted collaboration, with music written by Dantis, Konstantinos Pantzis, Stamatis Gonidis, Antonis Stefanidis, Achileas Dantilis, and lyrics written by Antonis Viliotis, Dimitris Tsafas, Aggeliki Makrinioti, Giannis Liontos, Sotia Tsotou, Panos Falaras, Kassioula Alexandrou, and Poseidon Giannopoulos.

With the great success of his song in the Eurovision Song Contest, Dantis decided to compete once more, for this year's Greek representation in the Eurovision Song Contest, this time performing the song himself.   He has already recorded a dynamic pop song, entitled "No Madonna", with the collaboration of Natalia Germanou on lyrics, and is hoping to represent his country proudly once more.
